MIG Welder

Newstaff Employment Services is seeking a skilled and reliable MIG Welder to join our team in Hitchin. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MIG welding and be capable of working to high standards on a variety of metal fabrication projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-paced environment where quality and safety are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding tasks to fabricate, join, and repair metal components according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints accurately.
  • Ensure welds meet quality and safety standards.
  • Carry out inspections and quality control on completed welds.
  • Maintain and operate welding equipment safely and effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines and production targets.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a MIG Welder.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good understanding of welding safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant welding certifications or qualifications are advantageous.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to handle the demands of the role.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
