What You’ll be doing

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who communicates confidently with the public, particularly children of different ages, and can work independently using their own initiative while following procedures and keeping to set times. You’ll need to be alert to potential hazards, take appropriate steps to keep everyone safe, and understand the importance of treating people fairly and recognising discrimination.

You’ll need to be comfortable standing for long periods and moving briskly in and out of the road in all weather conditions, with good vision and hearing, with or without aids. The role also requires flexibility, including being willing to work at a different crossing location when needed (up to four times a year), and taking annual leave during school holidays only.
