Senior Paraplanner
Locations: Luton
Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE + discretionary bonus
Working Pattern: Hybrid working
Benefits: Excellent benefits package
Our client, a highly regarded and established Independent Financial Advice firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join its team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong paraplanner who can work independently, take ownership of complex paraplanning responsibilities and provide technical guidance and oversight to colleagues.
Reporting directly to a Director, you will play a key role in managing the paraplanning workload, maintaining high standards of advice documentation and supporting the wider team. This position would suit someone who enjoys technical paraplanning, leadership and taking on greater responsibility without moving into a Financial Adviser role.
The Opportunity
You will take responsibility for the Director’s paraplanning requirements, ensuring all work is completed accurately, efficiently and to a high standard, with minimal supervision.
Alongside your technical responsibilities, you will oversee and support an existing Paraplanner and Administrator, helping to coordinate workloads, maintain quality standards and ensure the smooth running of the paraplanning function.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and collaborative business where your technical expertise, initiative and ability to take ownership will be valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing the Director’s paraplanning workload.
- Preparing and reviewing high-quality suitability reports and advice documentation.
- Conducting detailed research across pensions, investments, retirement planning and other financial planning solutions.
- Ensuring recommendations are accurately documented and meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Taking ownership of cases from initial research through to completion.

- Working closely with the Director and wider team to support the delivery of high-quality financial planning services.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and the quality of client documentation.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring consistent standards across all paraplanning activities.

- Highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented.
- A confident communicator who enjoys supporting colleagues and providing technical guidance.

- Annual discretionary bonus.
- Hybrid working arrangements.
