About us

The Chiltern School is an Area Special School in Central Bedfordshire. Our school offers all through education from 3-19 years. Our experienced staff provide stimulating learning opportunities addressing the needs of pupils with moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties. Many of our pupils have associated needs which include communication and social interaction, physical, sensory and medical.

About the job

Salary: £27,375.42 – £40,718.10 per annum
Hours per week: 37.5, Full time

You will work closely with a team of therapists and therapy learning support assistants to embed agreed Speech and Language therapy into the school day and through the curriculum.

At the school we have an integrated therapeutic approach which also incorporates trauma informed and Communication at the Heart of the School (CATHS) approach. Therapy is delivered as continuous provision and you will be instrumental in supporting assessment and working alongside education staff to embed therapy and develop their skills.

This post is suitable for return to practice, development posts, newly qualified, up to specialist position.
