Step into one of the fastest‑growing areas of the digital economy with our Cyber Security Technician Skills Bootcamp. This programme is designed to give you the practical skills, certifications and real‑world experience needed to start a career in cyber security. Delivered online by expert tutors, this bootcamp combines hands‑on labs, simulated cyber incidents and employer‑informed projects to prepare you for entry‑level roles in cyber and IT security. Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, for people looking for a new role or job opportunity. You will be offered an interview with an employer once you complete your course. If you claim Universal Credit, you can apply and continue to claim benefits.

This programme is ideal for adults looking to start or transition into a cyber security career. To be eligible, you must: Aged 19+ Live in Bedfordshire / Central Bedfordshire, the North East area of England or the West Midlands. Have access to a reliable internet connection with a PC/ Laptop. Be either; employed, self-employed, career changers, returners to work or unemployed within the last 12 months.

By completing this bootcamp, you’ll gain a strong understanding of: Cyber security fundamentals and threat landscapes Risk management and security controls Network security principles Incident monitoring, logging and response Security policies and compliance best practices
